Q - Is there a difference between 1953's and 1954 bodies?
A - YES ! The first 50 1953's were made in Flint MI and the rest were made in the new St. Louis plant. All 1954's were made in St Louis MO. 1953's started out being 100% made of hand laid cloth. Later in the production GM introduced pressmolded parts. 1954's were pressmolded, but it is not uncommon to find cloth parts on early production 54's, by mid to later production the bodies where pressmolded. There are many other differences.
