Mike contacted us after buying this 1954 Corvette - It had been restored by a prior shop and was missing a convertible top - Mike brought a top he had purchased (in boxes) and asked us to install a top for him. We restore our own convertible tops - we removed all the tack strips and powdercoat all the side irons and bows - we also vapor hone blast the front header then we install new tack strips. Then we assemble the tops and install them on the car.
- After we installed the top Mike asked us to complete an inspection on the car and what would it take to earn a NCRS Top Flight award - We completed a 3 page report for Mike and he asked us to do the work with a goal of getting a Top Flight
- We completed the needed work and took the car to the NCRS IL Chapter Meadowdale event where the car earned its Top Flight award !!!!!! Congratulations Mike !!
- June 2024 - Mike decided to enter the car at Bloomington. We went thru a 1 page list of small items to correct. Mike had the car judged at Bloomington and earned a Bloomington Gold !!!!! - Next the car will be at MCACN and earn its Triple Diamond award !!
